Ankle cropped pants

It's nice to see such a wide variety of styles of pants to choose from this spring
It seems like a move away from leggings and skinny pants and jeans has been predicted
(but not completely embraced), for a number of seasons, now.  I see stylish women
wearing skinny styles as well as straight and wide leg alternatives
 in full and cropped lengths

Skinnies do not seem to be going away, but remain as one of the many options
I wonder, have they reached classic status at this point?

Today I decided to highlight three looks with cropped pants
since these are what I have been wearing most during the long and
volatile transition to warm weather this spring

I like the asymmetrically ruffled waist detail and unusual muted rose color
of these cropped trousers from Topshop.   I decided to keep the rest of the outfit neutral
and paired the pants with a black and white spotted blouse

and a black and white bag with ruffled zippers
Silver tone knot bracelet and pearl earrings

with black D'Orsey pumps to finish the look

The next casual outfit pairs rolled up cropped, dark wash denim jeans
with a bright silk multi-colored paisley blouse

Bright pink clutch with simple gold tone jewelry
Hoop earrings, a thin chain necklace and the same style knot bracelet
as the first outfit.  I have very small wrists and it's difficult to find bracelets that
don't slide right off my arms!  I was luck to find these at Nordstrom Rack at different times

Tan low heeled ankle strap sandals to finish

In the last outfit, I am wearing peachy pink 7/8 length skinny crops
This length is designed to be just the right length to show off your shoes
Worn with a classic white shirt with a modern tie waist

Black and white gingham handle bag
with a gold tone and black enamel bracelet and novelty owl earrings

Black chunky heeled wide strap sandals to finish

Linking up with Visible Monday  and  Thursday Moda

  1. Hi D! I always wonder if it takes you long to get dressed ? The reason I ask is because everything always looks right spot on.. specially with the accessories.
These 3 looks are all so different and you wear all of them well.
You wanna hear something funny ? I cannot purchase "ankle" pants because they are usually "normal" on me because of my 5'1 height :) So I go for capris and these are "ankle" length on me.

    1. Hi Lorena,
Thanks for the compliment! I try to plan my outfits in advance, for less chance of a major faux pas in the morning, but it's not fool proof. Fitting pants is the biggest wardrobe challenge for me, and most women, I think. You have come up with a clever solution for yourself!

  2. I am definitely moving away from skinny pants myself. I still love them, but am really into cropped straight jeans. The waist detail on that pink pair of crops is soooo cute! And that shade of pink is just right. Definitely a grown up version of pink that you can wear to the office really easily.

    1. Thanks for your comment, Kristin! I have also slowly been moving away from skinnies. And I am really liking the high waisted, wide crops so popular this season.

  3. The first and the last outfit are my favorites. I like the soft shades of pink paired with white or grey. Very beautiful style.

    Happy Saturday
