Houndstooth suit 3 ways

A pantsuit is a real wardrobe stretcher
The  two piece jacket and trouser set can be mixed and matched in many ways
with other separates in your closet as well as being worn together!

This first outfit is created around the checked herringbone jacket of the two piece pant suit
Underneath the jacket is a black sleeveless blouse
worn with a black midi pencil skirt that gives the appearance of a jacket over a dress

For jewelry, I choose bold structural gold tone pieces
A wide buckle cuff bracelet and choker necklace

A favorite red 1960's vintage handle bag, and red leather belt to add color!

Black wide strap heels to finish the look

Next, I am wearing the cropped slim leg trousers from the suit
with a wine color blouse.  A black silk scarf tied in a bow at the neck
adds a feminine touch to a menswear look

Ivory and black striped clutch and black leather belt
with silver tone and quartz front to back earrings

Dark red pumps to complete the outfit

Lastly, the suit pieces worn together in one outfit
I choose a simple oyster color camisole to layer under the jacket

Burgundy vintage 1940's suede bag
with mixed metal necklace and gold tone hinged cuff bracelet

Burgundy suede and leather ankle straps to finish

There are many more possibilities for remixing these versatile pieces!

Linking up with Patti at Visible Monday and Thursday Moda

  1. Superb my dear D! Talk about a power suit. I love really loved these looks and can see me wearing them all.

  2. A suit is a great way to change up outfits. I like to wear mine as separates too!

  3. I love a good pantsuit especially in a neutral color or a classic pattern like plaid, houndstooth or tweed. Your suit is great whether on its own or as separate pieces. I love all these 3 looks as per usual and all your jewelry and accessories (shoes and bags) especially in the first outfit. I also like the masculine vibe each outfit has, Di. =)

I loved this outfit so much I featured it on Thursday Moda today {} so make sure you join the linkup, and while you are there join the "Skirting the Rules" linkup too. Thanks and enjoy the weekend! =)
