Pastels

Hello, welcome,
and thanks for stopping by my blog!

I am focusing my post today on pastels,
since spring and summer
are truly the seasons for these
soft and light colors to shine!
There are so many beautiful pastels
to chose from, this year especially,
since many of the designers are featuring them
Pantone has chosen some lovely ones,
although Peach Fuzz being named
as the Color of the Year
took me a little by surprise
It does not seem to have really taken hold
in the fashion clothing world,
it has made more of a splash in home decor

What are your thoughts on the color, Peach Fuzz?
I have been seeing a lot of great pieces
in the other Pantone pastels this season
and am really liking Chambray blue, Dessert Lilac, Lemon Drop, and my favorite this season-Carpi!

For my first outfit, I am wearing
a flutter sleeve blouse in lilac
and a skirt with quite a pastel mix!
The skirt is made of crepe,
and has the look of the slip skirts and dresses
that are so on trend now, but it is years old
This skirt stays in my wardrobe
because it is a classic A-line cut,
 the great overlapping circle print
and the whimsical fun factor,
plus, all those pastels to pull an outfit
together with!

Roger is joining me today, wearing an aqua shirt
to match with one of the colors in my skirt
He looks great in cool pastels and cool mid tone colors
He has not had his colors done, but I strongly suspect he   would be diagnosed as a summer!

For accessories I chose an aqua print scarf
in my hair, mint color flower shaped earrings,
and a 50's vintage pale aqua graduated plastic bead bracelet

Nude kitten heel pumps
with cute bow and cutout details
to finish this confectionary outfit

Mother Nature provides some truly beautiful
pink, purple and lilac inspiration in the garden

Hope you all have a great week!

  3. Your blog post captures the essence of spring and summer beautifully with its focus on pastels! I love how you talked about Pantone's colors and your outfit looks charming with the flutter sleeve blouse and mixed pastel skirt. Roger's aqua shirt matches perfectly. The accessories like the aqua scarf and mint earrings are a nice touch. You've truly embraced the season's colors and nature's beauty!

  6. The skirt is absolutely stunning! I would love to see more peach fuzz but it doesn't seem to have filtered down to the high street, which is a shame really. Thanks for linking!
