Autumnal Colors

Hello, and thanks for stopping by my blog today

Happy to have you join me!

I can hardly believe it is the second week of October already!
It is not looking very autumnal yet in my area,
but the first fall color is starting to appear
A few leaves are changing color and falling from the trees 🍂
 Now that October is here,
it is well and truly time for me to wear
all of the fall color that is in my wardrobe!
My closet is light on autumnal shades,
as they are the hardest colors for me to wear,
but I like to give it a try, and dress in the spirit of the season
I am fudging it a little,
wearing a brightly fall colored red-orange, orange and
 golden yellow poppy print dress
It is a sleeveless summer dress,
and I have layered a red blouse on top
of it that is more in keeping with my color palette

A very full skirt with a fanciful print
I wish I could grow these beauties in my garden!

Carrying a predominantly orange tweed fabric bag
with chain strap handle

I chose darker tone jewelry for this outfit
A black enamel double fan shape hinged bracelet,
and a pair of 1950s starburst matte silver tone earrings
I have been seeing a very similar
designer re-interpretation of this earring
worn on the runway this fall and for next spring
( Ignore the belt I decided not to wear it)

For shoes I chose black microfiber double strap
Mary Janes, with a block heel
I purchased these over the summer and have worn them several times already,
they are very comfortable and on trend,
and seem like they will be
perfect for fall and winter outfits

Some fall colors from the past,
in a transitional look from Autumn, 2021
Leopard print has really made a big comeback
this season, so it is a perfect time
to get some of my animal prints out for a remix!
Are you a lover of animal prints?

Hope everyone enjoys their week!

  2. I adore the red top, it's exactly the style I look for with a cute collar. Great idea to layer it over a dress, a little extra warmth for fall. I have to devise an autumn colors outfit for an upcoming challenge. Have a good week

  3. Beautiful red blouse! Autumn probably reminds me of all the nice colours. I like beige wool sweaters the most, which are perfect in autumn stylisations.

  4. I really like the print of that skirt! I wore a bright poppy print skirt this week and while it was not really in a fall color scheme, I really enjoyed wearing it. It is starting to cool off here so I am excited!
