October is for Orange!

Hello, welcome, and thanks for stopping by my blog

Orange is the color of October, that's for sure-
everywhere I look, there is orange!
Orange leaves falling from the trees,
orange food 🧡🎃🧡,
orange packaging on products in all the stores,
orange in ads all over my computer screen,
and today, orange on me!
 How about you,
are you wearing orange, now?
 I like orange, and anyway,
 November 1st is fast approaching
and you know what that means-
 orange will be replaced
by everything red and green overnight!

Today, I am wearing a bright red-orange cardigan
layered over a short sleeve black and white striped sweater,
with black straight leg ankle crop trousers

For a bright and cheerful
complementary pop of color,
I chose my turquoise handle bag

Accessorizing with a new
turquoise, black and white geometric print neck scarf

For jewelry, gold seemed right with orange
I chose a gold bead headband, double entwined
 circle vintage clip earrings
and a buckle motif bangle with orange enamel

This little vintage 1960's shaggy dog brooch
 is pinned to my cardigan

Wearing two tone black and tan block heel slides
to finish this bight and seasonal outfit

The red-orange cardigan does not get worn very often,
but I just did my closet change-over for fall
I am always delighted to see it again
It is the perfect color for autumn
and October in particular

Here is a previous wear of the cardigan
 from the way back machine-
five years ago in autumn, 2019

Some yummy seasonal treats
from the bakery
Pumpkin shaped sugar cookies
and pumpkin macadamia nut cookies
Yummy!

Hope everyone enjoys their week!

  1. I hadn't really noticed orange is everywhere, but yes you're right, it is! Love the orange red cardigan. The turquoise contrast is great because it tones down the orange, with the scarf adding a chic touch. Nice to see you in 2019. Hope you're having a good week so far
