Short Sleeve White Denim Jacket-2 Ways

This week I am sharing two outfits

 with a cropped, short sleeve white denim jacket

 This jacket is made of a very lightweight denim

 and has been so versatile during the summer months

Do you have any denim favorites for summer?

For my first outfit, I am layering the jacket over a sky blue tee

 and wearing it with a peach and blue 

bird print linen flared skirt

Wearing my little white leather pouch cross body bag

 It is true vintage from the 1960s 

 I have so much fun styling it

 during the spring and summer months

 It is very tiny and only holds the bare essentials, though

 Every time I pick it out, I think about it's long life

 I wonder what the person was like who wore it first,

 what the occasion was and how it was styled

 It is in such good condition that I imagine

 it may have sat in someone's closet

for a lot of years, until I came along to rescue it

I have had it for years myself, and purchased it from a little collectibles shop in Pennsylvania

 I dressed this outfit up with some summer-y accessories

  A chambray blue headband in my hair, and minimal jewelry 

 A silver tone double dolphin hinged bracelet,

 and a pair of 3-D blue flower stud earrings

Shiny white patent kitten heel T-straps to finish the look

I purchased these online early this spring,

 with two other pairs of summer shoes

 I did not have a clear vision of what I would wear these with,

I just felt the need to fill a hole

 in my summer shoe wardrobe with white shoes!

These fit my vague bills and they are

 not too dressy and not too casual,

but in-between

    

Of the group of three pairs I ordered, 

these were not my immediate favorites,

 but after trying them on with several outfits 

they have really worked out well,

 and have been a great way to modernize 

a number of outfits already in my closet

Another outfit with this versatile short sleeve denim jacket,

is in one of my favorite summer 

 color combinations, red white and blue!

For this wear, I layered the jacket over a navy and white polkadot fit and flare midi sundress

 Heart motifs are not just for Valentine's Day-

 I wear them all year round

Carrying my red heart shaped quilted shoulder bag

For jewelry, I chose two silver tone pieces,

 A hammered collar necklace and multi-band open cuff bracelet Had to get something vintage in the outfit, so I chose my kidney shaped vintage red enamel earrings

Another summer favorite are my red and white striped

 wedge heel espadrilles with red ribbon ties
