Hello and thanks for stopping by my blog!
This week I am styling two classic tweed jackets
The first one is a boxy, cropped Chanel look, woven in kelly green,
with a bit of navy blue and ivory
The shade of green is similar to one of Pantone's color picks
for the upcoming spring and summer season
This year's new Mint is a bright and saturated hue,
much different from the soft, muted pastel of several years ago
Anyway, I am wearing this tweed jacket layered over a green mock neck blouse
I also wore this blouse back in my Christmas post in December,
and it seems like a good choice for the upcoming holiday of Saint Patrick's Day, too!
The skirt is a very versatile navy blue jersey flared knee length style
I have worn this skirt frequently over the past few years
It goes with a lot of things and is a staple in my closet
A classic color combination
Carrying a navy blue quilted chain strap bag
Wearing bold gold tone jewelry in a chain link bracelet,
and double entwined circle earrings
My next outfit is with a completely different tweed jacket
in a windowpane check of brown, pink and ivory
It is a semi-fitted wool blazer style from J Crew
I am wearing it here over a brown fine gauge knit sweater
and with a brown baby wail corduroy full skirt
January and February are our coldest months,
when I pull out all of my warmest and heaviest fabrics!
The checks are so nicely matched up
This unique bag is hand crafted by an artisan
using a vintage wooden cigar box as the base
I chose a mix of yellow and rose gold tone jewelry for this outfit
A mixed metal tubular necklace, rose gold bangle bracelet
and yellow gold tone square post earrings
Low two tone brown and tan sling back Many Janes to finish the look
Tweed from a winter past: 2018/19
This jacket is a subtly patterned tan tweed long blazer
It's part of a suit, here is the jacket and trousers worn together
Hope everyone has a good week!
