Rose Coral
Hello! Thanks for stopping by my blog, and happy first day of spring!
I love this uplifting rose coral color,
it's a great shade to lighten up with at the end of a long, cold winter
The temperatures have not quite warmed up enough to the warrant
switching out my winter clothes to spring,
but these looks will help me bridge the gap
My first outfit is a remix of a sweet cardigan I wore
earlier this winter in a post about winter knits
For this wear, I chose a mid-wash denim skirt to go with it
Also wearing my 60's vintage brass butterfly buckle belt
Carrying my pleated fabric handle bag it a darker shade
of this yummy pinkish orange hue
Interestingly, Rose Coral is in the Pantone color palette for this spring season
from fashion week in London, but not in New York
I have noticed that most of the palette is usually quite similar but not the same
for these two show locations
Also wearing my 60's vintage brass butterfly buckle belt
I chose delicate gold tone jewelry for this outfit
My birds on a branch necklace, and a two tone wrap bracelet
For any of you with hard to fit small wrists,
I have good luck with some of the Lucky Brand styles
Also, small hoop earrings and vintage enamel butterfly decorative hair pins
🦋
Butterflies are everywhere for the coming season
with the popularity of all things Y2K
Sparkly metallic perforated stacked heel slides
to finish the outfit
I am wearing these shoes a lot more now than when I first purchased them
I love them, but it's taken me a while to realize just how versatile they are!
Next another outfit using this lovely, flattering rose coral color
This time, on a long sleeve blouse with ruffled cuffs
Carrying the same deep rose coral bag as in the first outfit
To accessorize, I chose a favorite long rectangular vintage silk chiffon scarf
The print is not very well shown in this picture,
I'll have to show it laying flat another time, as it is very beautiful!
It is a peach and pale blue print in a scene with cranes in their environment
Gold tone 3-D spiral flower/star shaped earrings are my only jewelry
Finishing the outfit with asymmetrical strap
reptile embossed heels
Here is an outfit with a jacket in a much brighter shade of coral from spring, 2019
I noticed I am still buying the same coral color carnations at to market today
as I was 3 years ago-I really do love the color!

Hope everyone enjoys the first week of spring!

Saint Patrick's Week- Wearing 'O the Green!
Happy St. Patrick's week to you all
and thanks for stopping by my blog!
This week I will be styling two outfits with the color green, in honor of the holiday
The shade of green in my first outfit is not the typical shamrock ☘️ color
It is a blue-green hue blazer with a shaw collar
Worn with a dark wash denim skirt with an inverted center front pleat
and a navy blue camisole top
It's hard to see the details in dark colors
but this skirt laces up at the waist and has two big patch pockets
Love any article of clothing with handy pockets!
For jewelry, I chose a gold tone open cuff bracelet studded with green stones
and two vintage 1950's scatter pins in the shapes of fruit-an apple and a pear-
with green leaves painted on them
Carrying a coral pleated fabric handle bag
and accessorizing with a navy blue and white dot scarf
Polka dots are such a happy and festive print!
Navy blue block heel sling backs to finish the look
My next outfit is a green and black color block cardigan
made of super soft and cozy Merino wool
Paired with black and white mini check trousers
You know I love to have pockets-
this is another item of clothing with big patch style ones
Carrying a black and white plaid front circular handle bag
Accessorizing with a vintage Deco era necklace with green carved stones
and green and white enameled details
I rarely wear this beautiful necklace, for fear of losing it!
Also wearing a link design silver tone cuff bracelet
Black pointed toe tassel flats to finish the outfit
Outfit from a St. Patrick's Day past, in 2018-
a whole lot of green!
Hope everyone has a good week
and the luck 🍀 of the Irish is with you all!

Tommy Girl Stripes
Hello, and thanks for stopping by my blog!
Today I thought I would share a few things in my wardrobe
by the designer Tommy Hilfiger
(This is not an advertisement for the brand BTW,
just combing my closet and noticing what's there!)
I have a number of pieces by this American designer
His label is known for it's classic American style,
and two signatures of the line are a red, white and blue color scheme,
and lots of colorful stripes
It's easy to see why I gravitate toward pieces from this label,
since it uses one of my favorite color combinations
as well as favorite pattern!
Wearing a red and navy blue Tommy Hilfiger striped jersey midi dress
This casual dress has an athleisure wear look to it,
made even more so with a vertical blue and white racing stripe running down the side seams
I will definitely have to style this with sneakers in the future-
the dress just calls out for them!
Layering a navy blue blazer over the dress today
Carrying a red patent leather baguette clutch
with a bold silver tone bar detail
For accessories, I chose a silver tone multi band open cuff bracelet,
star shaped stud earrings and a cute dog brooch that I don't wear often enough
The brooch is so adorable and I have fond memories attached to it
I have had it since a vacation I took on summer break during college,
to the Outer Banks of North Carolina
I bought the brooch at a little boutique as a remembrance of the holiday
What makes it even more special is that it is hand made,
and is rendered from a recycled license plate
I wonder where the artisan who crafted it is today...
Finishing the outfit with navy blue block heel sling backs
for a very matchy-matchy look!
Another outfit with stripes
This time, a navy and white striped blazer layered over a classic
Tommy Hilfiger sleeveless flared skirt dress
This dress is a bright raspberry pink, although it looks red in the photo
For jewelry with this outfit, I chose gold tone pieces
A "D" initial chunky chain necklace, hinged bracelet
and embossed teardrop shaped stud earrings
Carrying a navy blue chain strap, quilted bag
Really accessorized this outfit up!
Blue embossed belt and bright pink and white scarf in my hair
Same shoes as the first outfit
I wear this comfortable style a lot
Sling backs work well for me, especially if the back strap
is adjustable or elastic, since I have narrow feet
Stripes are a long time favorite pattern of mine, I wear them frequently
and my closet is full of them!
Here is a stripes on stripes outfit from late winter, 2019
Hope everyone has a good week!
