In the Pink!

Hello, and as always,
thanks so much for stopping by my blog!

This week I decided on a gradual reduction
of the colors of Valentine's season❤️🩷
I could not bring myself to abruptly halt
the happy, uplifting pinks and reds,
just because Valentine's Day has past!

We still have the rest of the month of February
to slog through, after all, and I do mean slog
It is dark and dreary, and raining buckets now,
on top of the lingering ice crusted snow on the ground

Are you much affected by the weather?
I am already jumping to springtime,
if only in my head!

Today I chose this sweet candy pink cardigan,
mixed with neutrals to lift my spirits
Wearing a plain white collared shirt underneath the sweater,
with a subtle gray and ivory woven plaid
wrap midi skirt with side button closures

Carrying my dove gray quilted chain strap handle bag

I chose this very special necklace to wear today
It is a three strand necklace,
made of cylindrical Peruvian Mountain Opal stones
I purchased it from an artisan crafter
The square clip on earrings are silver tone with white centers,
which really don't show well in the picture, they look gray

The scarf in my hair is one of the most useful ones I have
I think it is because the mix of colors are so soft and vague
it seems to go with everything

Dark gray cross-strap block heels to finish the outfit

I wore this pink cardigan last February too,
for Valentine's Day
By chance, this outfit from one year ago
 is quite similar

With Roger, my Valentine 💝

Here I go with more items leaving my closet,
this project is coming to an end
The last few things this season are bags
This is a super small mini bag
I should have put something in this picture for scale
It can be worn crossbody or as a belt bag,
as you can see from the last photo
It is a rich brown leather and made by Coach,
so I know the right person at the consignment shop
will snap it right up
I have had it since 2014 and have used it off and on,
but not currently, as it is not even
big enough for a cell phone
It would be good for someone to use
to carry their cards and keys
who keeps their phone in hand,
or purely for decoration

Wearing it back in Autumn, 2021

Hope everyone has a great week to come!
