Today, to start the holiday week,
I am wearing a classic, cool summer fabric-
a white cotton dotted Swiss dress, in a loose-fitting shape
It has an open banded collarless "V" neckline,
and buttons down the front,
with a long, flowing, tiered midi length skirt
Roger is joining me today wearing a red polo shirt,
so together we can make a red, white and blue pair
Do you and your partner or kids
like to dress to match?
Roger and I like to have fun with it sometimes!
This dress has a pretty detail,
open work lace crochet
down the center of the elbow length sleeves
It serves a purpose, too-
air conditioned arms
The dress came with a matching self fabric tie belt,
that I switched for this cheerful Navy blue and white
polka dot sash to go with the holiday theme
Carrying a fun vintage vinyl box bag,
in yellow, from the 60s
I have been trying to build a small collection
of yellow accessories, but it is tougher than I thought!
Yellow it is hard color to find in the shops,
except for soft, light butter yellow just now,
and I have reverted to looking online
Yellow is not yellow, is not yellow if you know what I mean,
on the computer screen!
I have been foiled several times
The sunny primary yellow that I am looking for,
sometimes arrives at my door more or less gold,
even if the color is labelled yellow
The golden autumn color is pretty,
but just doesn't mesh with the clear summery yellow
I am trying to blend with
I will keep trying!

Here is a yellow vintage 1950s
expandable cuff bracelet,
a pair of yellow and orange enamel flower earrings,
and a gold tone chain link collar necklace,
for jewelry with this outfit

I am using as a sash belt today
I love a good pair of espadrilles for summer,
and these are some of my favorites!
I have had them for quite a while,
They are a bold navy and white stripe,
with woven wedge heels and navy ribbons
Some star spangled holiday treats
for my sweet tooth to enjoy this week!

I like the addition of yellow to the navy and white color palette! I agree that yellow can be a hard color to shop for online when you are targeting that bright sunshine yellow color.
I should wear a scarf with my white dress soon! Going to screenshot your outfit for inspiration! The kids used to like matching colors with me, but no so much anymore!

That is a very pretty perfect summer dress and I love the yellow accents! Beautiful cuf and earrings. Gerben and I like the same colours, so often we look alike when we go out. I don't like that at all. Have a happy weekend!
