Periwinkle Blue knit dress

Hello, and thanks for stopping by my blog!

Periwinkle blue is a lovely spring and summer color,
and this solid colored knit dress
is the perfect blank canvas for some fun accessorizing
I love this type of dress for its versatility
The one a am wearing today
has three quarter sleeves and a jewel neckline,
with a fitted bodice and flared skirt-right up my street!
It has so many possibilities to change it up
for different looks

Are you a fan of this type of blank canvas dress
as a base to play with accessories?

Today, I decided to do something a little different
and wear a large colorful scarf wrapped around my waist
I have seen this done recently, plucked from a 70's trend
A little unusual, and a great one if you are a scarf wearer

The accessories really make the outfit special!

Here is the fantastic teal, aqua and violet print
vintage scarf from the 1960's

For jewelry with this outfit, I chose a necklace
of all around aqua fossil disks in aqua
Also, large gold tone geometric motif earrings,
 with a chunky dome bracelet

I went neutral with the bag and shoes
This bag is a reptile embossed small satchel,
in taupe with top handles and horse bit detail

Suede sling backss with a wooden block heel,
in a similar color to the bag to finish the outfit

There are not a lot of colorful flowers
blooming in our garden just now, except the petunias,
They are very strong summer flowers that bloom from late spring to early fall if they are happy in their baskets or pots,
or planted in a partly shady areas in our climate

Hope everyone has a great week!

Love the colour and the shape of the dress. It fits you perfectly. The scarf is a great idea, I wrap mine around my black skirt and t-shirt combo

What a beautiful shade of blue! The dress really is the perfect blank canvas, and I love how you transformed it with that stunning vintage scarf. The colors in the scarf pair so well with the periwinkle dress, and the neutral shoes and bag let it remain the star of the outfit. Such a creative way to style a classic dress!

You look so classy and the color of the dress suits you. Periwinkle blue is such a gorgeous, dreamy color for this time of year, and that dress really is the ultimate canvas for showing off your styling creativity. Wrapping that vibrant 1960s vintage scarf around your waist is an absolute genius move, and it channels that effortless 70s energy so beautifully without overpowering the silhouette. Pairing it with the aqua fossil disks and those neutral taupe slingbacks lets the bold colors of the scarf completely steal the show while keeping the whole look polished and balanced. It is so fun to find new ways to breathe life into classic pieces like that.

Oh yes I do love a blank canvas, as I don't wear a print that often at all. That dress is indeed a beautiful colour and I adore the necklace! The scarf ads so much intrest! In our garden the hydrangeas are starting to bloom and there are a lot! The colours will be amazing!
