Everything's Coming Up Roses

Hello, welcome to my blog,
 and thanks for stopping by!

Florals pop up every spring and summer,
and this season has been no exception
So what's so special about 2024?
This season has been all about a particular flower-the rose!
There is a lot of rose inspiration out there now,
from bunches of roses, to all over prints,
to single oversized long stem rose designs
Rose print designs, large and small,
and in all colors, are everywhere,
as well as 3-D rosette embellishments
 and rose inspired jewelry
The romantic rose seems to be the flower of the season

I have not purchased any new
 rose print items this season,(yet)
Floral lover that I am, I have a lot of roses
and other floral prints in my wardrobe already
Are you a fan of roses and other florals?
The designers have really taken off and run with this one
so there is ample opportunity to add more flowers
🌹🌸🌻
if you are inclined to!

For my first outfit this week I decided to shop my closet
for a dress with a print of giant red cabbage roses
It is a dress that has been languishing in my closet
for the past several years, but the explosion of trending
rose prints made me pull it, out to see
how I could style it in a new, casual way
I added a red cropped ribbed tee over the dress
(it is sleeveless),and tried out some casual accessories

Not a subtle floral statement!

This red pouch handle bag has become a favorite of mine

I chose some fun and whimsical, casual jewelry
to help dress the outfit down
Textured dome silver tone stud earrings,
"love" letters on a black leather band bracelet,
and my cheeky vintage look camera necklace

For shoes, comfortable black
 low wedge asymmetrical strap sandals

I thought the next dress would by a fun compliment
to this post, because the white blobs
representing blooms, buds and steams
could be pretty much any flower you like!
I love the shade of blue for the background
of this print, and the flouncy, tiered ruffled skirt

Mystery flower

This vintage 1940's bag is the perfect match

For jewelry, I chose circular motifs-
a silver tone love knot hinged bracelet,
a collar necklace that is a circle of tiny faux pearls,
and textured hoop earrings

Nude tie low heels to finish the look

It is the time of year for sun roses in the garden-
multiple colors and so pretty!

and a blooming red rose bush hedge

Hope everyone has a good week!

Great title! I think you styled your red rose dress perfectly! Although I have to say I favor the blue one just because I love blue so much.

Both of these dresses are so pretty! I love how you layered over and casualized the red one, which just looks like a skirt this way. I am a big fan of florals in general, but don't have many prints that are specifically roses.

Hello! I really like both of your styles. I love summer dresses, they are the best part of a woman's wardrobe.

I especially love the skirt! Perfect line and lenght. Our roses are grown out now, but I think there will be a hole lot new ones soon.
